Barrie’s ONLY Hip Hop monthly, THA UNDAGROUND returns Saturday February 8th!

Celebrating all elements of Hip Hop, and always bringing you great vibes and the finest talent. Tha Undaground is Barrie’s only consistent Hip Hop series giving local talent a platform to perform and be celebrated, and showcases established artists from outside of our region, allowing everyone to party and connect under one roof.

Located in Barrie’s downtown core at CW Coops (3 Mulcaster St). It’s a central location offering good sound, food and drinks all at an affordable price

Headliner – Plex

Plex is an award winning hip-hop artist and producer based in Barrie, Ontario. With almost 30 years of experience, Plex has raised the bar amongst his Indigenous peers, while building a strong and relevant presence in Canadian Hip Hop. Since releasing his debut solo album in 2009, Plex has toured across the US and Canada performing, teaching workshops to Indigenous youth and running his independent record label, New Leaf Entertainment.

Wasun’s latest EP Comrade Music is inspired by the 90’s Golden Era of East coast Hip Hop (1994-1996).
In 2005, Wasun released his What Must Be Done EP.
Wasun also appeared on Righteous’s The Administrator of Truth & One Day releases, In 2020 Wasun also appeared Jordi LaForty’s Classically Trained Album
The Prison Notebooks album is coming in 2021
