Tha Undaground is Barrie’s only consistent Hip Hop series giving local talent a platform to perform and be celebrated, and showcases established artists from outside of our region, allowing everyone to party and connect under one roof.

Headliner – Frankie Payne 

Born and raise in the city of Toronto’s Westend, at a young age Frankie fell in love with hip-hop music and the culture. When he became aware of his “rapping skills,” he started to practice & realized he had discovered a very deep connection with the art-form. “Throughout my life, hip-hop has always been like a big brother or best friend…”

J Shiltz & Friends

Artist, songwriter, and master of ceremonies J Shiltz was definitely catching a buzz in the 2010s “blog-era” of hip-hop before online exhibitionism, content creation, and social media metrics superseded the music. At his peak he was known for an introspective, self-aware, yet punch line driven style of lyricism accompanied by jazz infused and melodic boom bap production.

MikeAll

MikeAll (formerly known as Mikeraphone) is a Scarborough, Ontarian. He has released three solo albums; “Mike Check” (2008), “Mike Support” (2015) and “Mike All” (2018). In 2019, he helped form the Hip Hop Headucatorz. MikeAll’s goal is to put the poet back into Rhythm And Poetry.
